Ruter are looking for 1 - 2 consultants for a project in Ruter’s Radical Innovation unit, Go To Market Associate.

Fleets with shared, self-driving vehicles will be important in creating more flexible and cost- effective services for customers in the years to come. It will provide opportunities for new service offerings that both complement and replace existing services and help create a realistic alternative to the private car.

Ruter’s mission is to replace “all” privately owned cars in Oslo region with a shared fleet of 30 000 self-driving vehicles within the near future. Ruter has since 2019 been trialing self-driving vehicles as an integrated part of the Oslo region's public transport services. Our initiative is among the largest and most ambitious in its category, continuously yielding valuable knowledge and unique industry relations.

Ruter is moving forward with establishing a new initiative with players from the entire value chain of shared, automated vehicles. This includes self-driving technology developers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), vehicle importers, mobility companies, investment companies and venture capitalists, insurance companies, demand responsive transport players and fleet management.

Role and responsibility
As an Associate, your primary role will involve orchestrating various work streams and assuming responsibility for their progress, coordinating deliveries, and managing dependencies. This multifaceted position demands adeptness in maintaining project momentum and generating and documenting diverse materials.

We seek candidates with proficiency in the following areas:

• Experience for coordination and follow-up of processes that span across internal teams and across organization.
• Experience and competence in development of innovation projects.
• Comfort with producing materials and have experience in documenting complex issues in simplified way.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty in fast-paced “startup-like” environments.
• Preferred candidates will have project management experience, ideally in a cross-cultural setting. We look for individuals who demonstrate curiosity regarding future opportunities and are comfortable operating in dynamic environments with ever-evolving challenges.
• The consultants will work full time within our project, and we can accommodate on site (Oslo) or remote. If remote, some travel to Oslo, Norway is expected, as well as travel to global partners.
